Congratulations once again to Charlie Strickland!
Charlie is the first Sussex player to win the Selborne Salver in its 44-year history – beating Ogbourne Downs Golf Club’s Jake Bolton at the first extra hole in a play-off at Blackmoor Golf Club on Saturday 13th April, after both players posted 4-under having carded two rounds of 67.
Charlie, a member at Ham Manor since his time as a junior has had a number of successes recently, including on the Evolve Pro Tour in Spain earlier this year. Charlie came 1st at Lo Romero, scoring 207 over 3 rounds (-9) and 3rd at the La Serena Open with a total over 3 rounds of 211 (-5).
IN 2017 Charlie was selected to play for the Great Britain and Ireland boys team following his Duncan Putter and Peter McEvoy Trophy wins and a 2nd (by 2 shots) in the Lytham Trophy!
