Ham Manor Scratch Team have made it through to the final of Oliver Trophy Plate Competition. If you want to support the team the final is being played on Saturday 19th August at The Dyke. The team have gone one step further than last year where they lost in a play-off in the semi final. This year we have played all games away from home which makes this a fantastic achievement with special victories at Lewes and West Sussex.
This years results have been:-
1st Round Proper – Lost 4-8 to Brighton & Hove (Away)
1st Round Plate – Lewes (Away) won 7-5
2nd Round Plate – Selsey (Away) won 6-6 (away team wins in the event of a tie)
Quarter Final Plate – West Sussex (Away) won 7.5 – 4.5
Semi Final Plate – Cooden Beach (Played at Copthorne) won 10 – 2
Final Plate vs Copthorne – TBC (Check back on Sunday 20th August)
Any support would be most welcome. The team has not won anything since 2004 so it could be a great achievement for the club. The event is being played alongside the main competition which is between ESN and Goodwood.
The events playing format is 4 foursomes matches in the morning and 8 singles in the afternoon.
Start time 8.30am.
