Charlie has shot 74, 70 in the first two rounds of the 2017 European Boys Team Championships at La Manga in Spain. Representing England Boys the event is a mix of strokeplay for individuals and then team matchplay event.
Spain Boys are performing extremely well but England look likely to qualify. Charlie is the 4th lowest handicap in the event as he now plays off an impressive +4 (+3.7).
We will keep this post updated with Charlie’s and England’s progress. When he gets back he will be off to the English Amateur where last year he had a surprise quarter final appearance. This year after his amazing results no doubt pressure and expectation are growing and Charlie will start to think about progressing further. Whatever his result this week and later into the season all at Ham are very proud to be associated with Charlie. Not only is Charlie a fantastic golfer he is also a fantastic role model for juniors at Ham Manor.
England qualified in Joint 4th for the knockout stages and played Denmark in the quarters. Unfortunately they were just beaten 4-3 by Denmark but Charlie won his foursomes game 4&3 and his singles 3&2! Well done Charlie!
